If there was one thing I never struggled in the beginning of my career as a therapist, it was: seeing 12 clients every single week. There were some weeks when I’d see 6 clients and some where I’d do even 20 sessions, but I never had to look at my calendar and worry that there were no appointments. 

When I look back and wonder how did that happen, the answer isn’t so complex. 

You have to understand I wasn’t so active on Facebook. I didn’t use Instagram at all. I still don’t have a large mailing list. Neither did I have a podcast or a website. I just had my phone number. And I just knew how to text people. 

Till the time I was charging Rs. 56000 per session ($700 USD), I didn’t use anything but WhatsApp to communicate to people. However do remember, I started with charging Rs. 700 per session. And I scaled up super fast. And I could do that for one and only one reason: people were willing to pay me that amount. 

And they were willing to pay me because of two reasons:

1. My own thoughts about myself as a coach.

2. My ability to problem solve it for them and killing it in the discovery calls (or you may call it consultation calls).

And you have to trust me, it has nothing to do with the modality I used or the fact that I have a Dr. in front of my name.
